Outside of the box

I have to hand it to them:  they’re creative.

I caught on to this little method the older children were using to climb on to counters the other day.  I have a feeling it’s been going on for some time.  Mollie was extremely compliant to get in position when Emilia was attempting to reach the bucket of Cat Cookies on top of the fridge.

Cat Cookies:  (k-a-t c-uh-k-ee-z) def. – a tub of small chocolate cookies, similar in nutritional value to teddy grahams or chips ahoy, but which mothers feel  less guilty purchasing/ packing in lunchboxes/ eating at midnight, because they are sold at Trader Joe’s.

The children were honestly unscrupulous in their admission of this Mollie-As-A-Step-Stool practice, considered clever and resourceful by all three children – I’m assuming that Mollie had worked into the deal a sweet cut of whatever goods were pilfered in this way.

Pinkalicious

My five and a half year old, Emilia Grace truly makes it her mission to be as pink as possible!  She has a patten on pink, or at least her younger sister is so advised, and humbly confesses her favorite colors to be yellow and orange.

My fantasy bedroom makeover for the three girls is a Pinkalicious, Purplelicious, Goldilicious princess fairy paradise, from the books by Victoria and Elizabeth Kann,

“Pinkalicious”:

I tend to think my Pink’s even prettier!

super excited

Yay!

I could stall indefinitely, but I think the site is at least ready for my friends and family to take a peek and offer thoughts, suggestions, (cheers hopefully) while it is in it’s early stages . . .

As the first “posts,” please read the first two pages:  ’about us’ and ‘initial confessions’ . . . I think that these will be permanent pages and more will be added, as new people find me and want to know what I’m about.

I hope everyone likes the “theme” of the blog, which as it’s unfolding, seems to be seeing, celebrating, congratulating, the superhero in all moms while acknowledging, agonizing, forgiving the way we are also s-t-r-e-t-c-h-e-d, making us even more awesome and certainly more flexible!

Thanks again and again!
